Adding a new item to the menu in Aurmenu allows for organizing content, setting prices, and configuring add-ons and combo options according to the required settings. This guide explains the steps for entering items and customizing their details accurately.


✅ Step 1: Accessing the "Add Item" Option

1️⃣ Log in to your Aurmenu account

2️⃣ Go to Menu Control and edit the created menu

  • If you need help creating a menu from scratch, you can refer to the previous article.

3️⃣ Click "Add New Item" to start entering item details.


✅ Step 2: Entering Basic Item Information

When adding a new item, you will need to fill in some essential details:

Item Name & Description:

  • Enter the item name (e.g., Cappuccino).
  • The name and description can be automatically translated into the customer’s chosen language.

Generate an AI-Powered Image:

  • You can either manually upload an image or generate one automatically using AI based on the item description.

Old & New Price (for discounts and promotions):

  • Enter the base price of the item.
  • If running a promotion, you can set the old and new price so that the original price appears strikethrough with the discounted price displayed.

Additional Settings:

  • Tax-inclusive or tax-exempt: Choose whether the price includes tax.
  • Temporarily disable an item: You can turn off item sales when needed.
  • "Sold Out" status: Use this to indicate that the item is currently unavailable.

Allergen Warnings:

  • Specify any allergens the item contains, such as nuts, gluten, or dairy, to help customers make informed choices.

Recommended Items:

  • Add suggested items that will appear when customers browse this item, such as:
    • If the item is "Cappuccino," you might suggest "Chocolate Croissant" as a complement.

Preparation Time:

  • Set the minimum and maximum preparation time for the item.

If your item is available in different sizes or variations, you can set up custom pricing as follows:

Adding Price Options:

  • Create different sizes or portions for the item with separate prices.
  • Example:
    • Small Cappuccino – 15 SAR
    • Large Cappuccino – 20 SAR
  • When price options are added, the base price will not appear; instead, customers will see the available choices.

You can offer additional choices to enhance the item, such as:

Adding Extra Ingredients:

  • Example: For coffee, you can add flavor options like Vanilla, Caramel, or Hazelnut.
  • Set the minimum and maximum number of extras a customer can select.

If you offer set meals, you can use the Combo Item feature, which allows you to bundle multiple items into one selection at a fixed price.

Example of a Combo Item:

    You can define the quantities and components for each item in the combo to create a complete experience for customers.

✔ After entering all the details, click "Create" to save the item to your menu.
✔ If you want to add more items consecutively, select "Save & Add More."
✔ Once saved, you can edit the item later from the menu settings.
